AICPA and Oxford Course on Sustainable Financial Strategy Now Available as CPE

The six-week course, ESG and Sustainable Financial Strategy, is designed to give accounting and finance professionals the skills necessary to lead their organization’s response to sustainable business priorities.

A prestigious executive management course on sustainable financial strategy, jointly developed by Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and AICPA & CIMA, now offers continuing professional education (CPE) credit for CPAs.  

The six-week course, ESG and Sustainable Financial Strategy, is designed to give accounting and finance professionals the skills necessary to lead their organization’s response to sustainable business priorities. It offers a detailed understanding of environmental, human capital and governance concepts, reporting frameworks and assurance considerations, as well as insight into how sustainability issues impact organizational decision-making and resource allocation for value creation and preservation. Guest speakers include faculty members with world-leading expertise, accounting firm leaders, and CEOs and CFOs of major corporations who share insight into current practices and concerns.  

The course is offered quarterly, with one session starting June 19 and the next in September. Participants who successfully complete the course are eligible for 26.5 CPE credits.

  • Outline effective corporate governance practices and ways of managing their organization’s sustainability reputation 
  • Create a peer-reviewed and faculty-assessed Sustainability Transformation Plan for their organization.
